I was raised camping in the Rockies. Then I gained my hard core chops in the Army. Needless to say I love adventure. Marna loves adventure too, but camping as I think of it is not exactly her style. And let's face it, neither of us is getting any younger so sleeping out in the cold, on the ground, just doesn't quite suit us any longer. So this year, we rented a "recreational vehicle" or simply, RV.
A neighbor up the street had rented from a company in Denver a while back, and told us that he had a great experience with a specific company, B & B RV. He must have because he went on to upgrade and eventually purchase. After searching around our other options, and while Paige was at a sleepover, Marna and I headed out to B & B to check out their inventory. We liked what we saw, and put a reservation in for this Coachmen Freelander.
At 31 feet long, this thing is a home on wheels. It has a queen bed (memory foam) in the back with ample closet space, a shower, bathroom, kitchen (including a microwave and an oven), dining area and living room (two separate spaces), and a bunk over the cab. It also has a slide out side, that gives you another few feet of space inside when parked. Other amenities included a flatscreen television and DVD player.
All that was left was to wait for the pick-up day to come, pack it, and go. Oh, and figure out where we were going to spend those nine nights out on the road.
